Soft, naturally sweet and packed with texture, these energy balls are the perfect nourishing snack for busy mornings, post-workout fuel or an afternoon pick-me-up. Made with rich dates, protein and crunchy Holy Crap Superseeds, they’re finished with a smooth chocolate coating for the perfect balance of wholesome and indulgent.

SERVINGS 10 energy balls 

INGREDIENTS

  • 100 g dehydrated dates, soaked in hot water for at least 20 minutes
  • 1/2 cup (130 g) nut butter of choice
  • 1 scoop protein powder
  • 2 tbsp Holy Crap Superseeds (any flavour)
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Unsweetened chocolate, melted
  • A small amount of coconut oil (for melting the chocolate)

PREPARATION

  1. Drain the soaked dates and place them in a bowl.
  2. Add the nut butter, protein powder, Holy Crap Superseeds, cinnamon and vanilla extract.
  3. Mix everything gently by hand to keep a nice chunky texture.
  4. Roll the mixture into evenly sized balls (about 25 g each — makes approximately 10
    energy balls).
  5. Place them in the fridge for about 20 minutes to firm up.
  6. Melt the chocolate with a little coconut oil until smooth.
  7. Dip or drizzle the energy balls with chocolate, then let them set before serving.

Perfect for meal prep, snack boards or a healthier sweet treat.
